What’s happening this week - 4/15/24
It is just starting to feel like summer, but seeds have been planted for months here on the farm. I’ve taken over a ‘spare’ bedroom with east facing windows. The windows paired with the lights the seedlings are thriving!
What’s growing?
Statice, Snapdragons, Feverfew, Pincushion, Poppies, Stock, Sweet William, Sweet Peas, Cress, Eucalyptus, Strawflower, Dara, Green Mist, Celosia, Hibiscus, Basil, Marigolds, Hairy Balls, Ageratum, Calendula, Craspedia, Amaranth, Yarrow, Bachelor Buttons, Buplureum, Orlaya. Plus a few I’m sure to have missed.
What’s blooming?
Daffodils are blooming, but since they were first planted in the fall there are only a few blooms. I’m keeping those :)
Ranunculus are starting to bud up! I’m hoping over the next few weeks they will be pumping out the blooms with some Bachelor Buttons and Bupleurum. For now, I will enjoy the short little flowers they produce first and when the tall stems pop up I’ll be excited to share!
In the meantime you’ll find me outside, barefoot, soaking up the rays, and gardening.
